Tomahawk man charged in overdose death of Tomahawk woman reaches plea deal

TOMAHAWK – A Tomahawk man charged in the overdose death of a Tomahawk woman reached a plea deal this week.
Aaron C. Dziura, 40, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of second degree reckless homicide on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
Dziura and Daniel J. Horwath, 35, also of Tomahawk, were arrested in Aug. 2020 and charged with first degree reckless homicide in connection to the overdose death of a 23-year-old Tomahawk woman in 2019. Dziura and Horwath allegedly provided methamphetamine to the woman, who died two days later.
Dziura will appear in court for a sentencing hearing on Dec. 13, 2021.
Horwath scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 10, 2021, for a status conference.
