TOMAHAWK – Tomahawk Music on the River announced on Tuesday, Aug. 3 that it had rescheduled its previously cancelled final show of its 14th concert series.
Texxas was slated to perform at Veterans Memorial Park on Wednesday, July 28. Hours before the show, organizers called it off due to a severe thunderstorm that caused widespread damage and power outages when it rolled through the area later that evening.
Organizers noted that it was the first time a concert had to be cancelled in Music on the River’s 14-year history.
The rescheduled performance will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 18 at 6 p.m. in Veterans Memorial Park.
“We are forever grateful for the band Texxas for being willing to reschedule our last concert instead of a full cancellation,” a post on Tomahawk Music on the River’s Facebook page said. “We are also grateful for our decision to cancel last week, as the storms would have been a huge safety risk for our band and guests.”
