MERRILL – The Lincoln County Fair is back for 2021 and will be held at the Merrill Festival Grounds, 2001 E. 2nd St., Merrill, from Wednesday, Aug. 11 through Sunday, Aug. 15.

As always, admission is free, and wristbands for the carnival rides are already available in advance. Games, food stands, and rides will be on the midway, entertainment is lined up in the Grand Stand and the Entertainment Tent, and the animals and exhibits will be back in the barns.

The main events in the Grand Stand this year will be the 4H Horse Show on Wednesday, Aug. 11, at 5 p.m.; the ever-popular Demolition Derby on Friday, Aug. 13, at 6:30 p.m.; the Tractor Pulls on Saturday, Aug. 14, with the Antique Tractor Pull set for 11a.m. and the more modern Tractor Pull scheduled for 6 p.m.; and All Star Monster Trucks will be making some noise on Sunday, Aug. 15, at 6 p.m.

Musical entertainment in the Entertainment Tent may have a few people kicking up their heels and tapping their feet to the sounds of Lovin’ Country on Wednesday, August 11, at 7:30 p.m.; Bryce Thomaschefsky on Thursday, August 12, at 7:30 p.m.; Diamonds & Whiskey on Friday, August 13, at 7:30 p.m.; and Stetsin & Lace on Saturday, August 14, at 7:30 p.m.

And don’t forget to get your fill of deep fried cheese curds and all sorts of other deep fried treats, cheeseburgers with fried onions, and homemade pie from all of the local vendor food stands. Plus enjoy cotton candy, corn dogs, and all your fair favorite foods! And time to socialize with old friends in the beer tent.

If you missed the Fair in 2020, enjoy all that the 2021 Lincoln County Free Fair has to offer, including animals, exhibits, vendor booths, games, and just strolling the midway to enjoy the smells, sights, and sounds of the carnival.
