RHINELANDER – Nicolet College will hold its first in-person graduation in more than a year when it welcomes graduating students and their families and friends to the Summer 2021 Commencement Ceremony on Wednesday, Aug. 25.

The event will start at 6 p.m. under the large tent in front of the Lakeside Center on the Rhinelander Campus, 5364 College Dr., Rhinelander.

“Graduation is the culmination of a lot of hard work by students and oftentimes any number of sacrifices made by families and friends to support students on their educational journey,” said Nicolet President Kate Ferrel. “We are delighted to invite everyone back on to campus to celebrate this life milestone and achievement.”

During the outside event, all those attending will still need to follow certain COVID-19 guidelines. These include maintaining six feet of physical distance from individuals who are not immediate family members and mask wearing for those who are not vaccinated for the COVID-19 virus.

Those who are fully vaccinated do not have to wear masks.

Individuals who graduated earlier during the pandemic when the college was not able to hold an in-person graduation ceremony are also invited to participate in the cap and gown commencement Aug. 25. To participate, these graduates are encouraged to contact Sara Tienhaara at Nicolet at 715-365-4566 or [email protected].
