Alice Francis Cychosz

Alice Francis Cychosz, age 90, died on Monday July 19, 2021. She was a resident of the Oregon Veterans Home in The Dalles, Ore. Alice was born on Nov. 7, 1930, in Pulaski, Wis., to the late Joseph and Mary Wendzikowski.

She married Raymond Cychosz on October 4th, 1958, in Pulaski, Wis. They made their home in Heafford Junction, Wis., where they owned and operated Ray’s Corner Bar and Mark’s Bait Shop. After retiring from the bar, they continued to reside in Heafford Junction at their home on Lake Nokomis. They moved to Sun City, Ariz., in 1992. Alice moved to Oregon in 2018.

Alice enjoyed doing ceramics, water walking, silver crafting, baking, and preparing wonderful meals for family, friends, or whomever was visiting. Alice was lifelong member of the Catholic Church.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, her brother Norbert Wendzikowski, her parents, and a granddaughter, Samantha Wilcox.

Survivors include her four children: Mary (John) Childs, White Salmon, Wash., Mark (Lisa), Custer, Vicki (Louis) Wilcox, Redmond, Ore., and Joseph (Denise), Abilene, Tex.; sister Pat (William) Lardinois, Pulaski; 12 grandchildren: McKenzie, Alyssa, Ben, and Katherine Childs and Rebecka (Ramesh) Ramnarine; Allison (Brandon) Nielsen, Eric, and Noah Cychosz; Jeffery and Matthew Wilcox, Maegan and Jake Jennings, and one great grandchild, Taylor Jennings.

Interment will be in Calvary cemetery, Tomahawk.

A celebration of Alice’s life will be held in Tomahawk during the summer of 2022.
