Sheriff Schneider honors longtime supporter of agency

For the Tomahawk Leader

LINCOLN COUNTY – Lincoln County Sheriff Ken Schneider honored a longtime supporter of the agency with the Sheriff’s Recognition Award last month.

“Ken Purdy, known to many here as Sensei, has donated his time, experience, and equipment to members of the sheriff’s office to assist them in tactics and techniques for non-lethal interventions,” a post on the Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page stated.

Purdy has also trained other agencies in the county throughout the years and has spent many hours training with this agency’s Special Response Team.

“In addition to his dedication to local law enforcement, Purdy has distinguished himself as a strong supporter of the martial arts community and the citizens of Lincoln County in general,” the post said. “Thanks, Ken, for all you have done to assist and advance the law enforcement careers of our staff.”
