TOMAHAWK – What started as a strange noise coming from above ended with a sky-high rescue mission.
For about two days, Dan Kennedy believed he had been hearing a bird in a pine tree near his home on County Highway CC west of Tomahawk. Upon further investigation on Tuesday, June 1, Kennedy and a neighbor discovered that the sound was coming from a cat that was stuck roughly 60 feet up in the tree.
Foley’s Tree Service dispatched an employee and the equipment needed to save the feline, who was brought to the Lincoln County Humane Society the day after his rescue and was later reunited with his owner.
