Ronald S. Haring

Ronald S. Haring, age 53, of Baker, La., passed away on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021. He was born in Tomahawk on Jan. 30, 1967, to Bernard and Carol (Leach) Haring. He graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1985. A veteran of Operation Desert Storm, Ron served in the United States Army from 1985 to 1991. He was married to Leigh Ann Williamson on May 26, 1990; she survives.

Ron enjoyed volunteering for his son’s soccer and wrestling teams from elementary school through high school. He also enjoyed planning menus and cooking, and decorating for his favorite holidays, Halloween and Thanksgiving. Ron was a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan and learned to love NASCAR from his wife. He loved to tell jokes and kid-around with others.

Ron is survived by his wife, Leigh Ann Haring; one son, Ian Haring; his parents, Bernie and Carol Haring; two brothers, James and Brian Haring; and his father-in-law, Bobby Williamson. He is further survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Betty Haring, and Earle and Rose Leach; his uncles, Tom Haring, Dick Haring, and Dusty Carstensen; his aunt, Agnes Fender; and his mother-in-law, Vivian Williamson.

A memorial service will be held at Generations Funeral Home, Tomahawk, on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 5 p.m., with military honors. The family will receive friends for visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of services at 5 p.m.
