For the Tomahawk Leader

TOMAHAWK – The Tomahawk Hatchet eSports team held an awards ceremony on Friday, April 30, following the conclusion of its inaugural regular season.

Drew Albert received the Most Dedicated award.

Jaxson Werner was honored as Most Valuable for Team Rocket League, while Zach Suchomel received the honor for Team Smite.

Brandon Stiff and Jacob Anderson were honored as the Most Improved team members.

Zach Suchomel, Tim Herman and Drew Albert each received a Captains Award.

Gavin Myre and Zach Suchomel were named to the All-Conference team for Smite.

Hatchets take on Muskego

The Hatchets battled a tough Muskego team in the second round of the playoffs on Wednesday, April 5.

“They were nervous going against the number one seed,” coach Paula Norman stated. “I told them the pressure was on Muskego, not on us, and to go out and have fun.”

It took over 22 minutes, but Muskego was ultimately able to secure the win.

Norman said the team learned a lot and had fun in its inaugural season.

“As a coach, I couldn’t be more proud of these young men and I can’t wait to start back up in the fall,” she stated. “What a great first year!”
