TOMAHAWK – A few streets in Tomahawk are set to see some maintenance work this summer.

Street department lead Nick Rosenmeier explained to the city’s Board of Public Works during its Tuesday, April 27 meeting that the department plans to chip seal the stretch of Kaphaem Rd. from Somo Ave. to just south of Theiler Dr., as well as the section of Kaphaem Road and Comfort Dr. north of Somo Ave.

The department will also chip seal the stretch of School Rd. between Somo Ave. and the entrance to the high school parking lot.

The city allocates $40,000 to fund chip sealing every year. Rosenmeier noted that he wanted to include Bradley Farm Rd. in the chip sealing plan, but that work would exceed what is budgeted.
