Edward F. Radtke

Edward F. Radtke, age 66, of Harshaw, Wis., passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Ed was born on March 21, 1955, in Portage, Wis., to the late Louis and Joanne (Houk) Radtke. He was married to Tammy Towne on Sept. 25, 1993; she survives.

Ed attended Rhinelander High School and entered the workforce. He worked in the woods for some time and later began employment at Pinewood Country Club in Harshaw, where he was proud to have just started his 45th year as groundskeeper and maintenance. Ed enjoyed shooting pool and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was an outgoing “people person,” always talking and sharing stories. He loved spending time with his family and was fittingly nominated as the “public relations” representative within his big family.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Radtke, of Harshaw; his sons, Brandon Radtke, of Tomahawk, and Travis Radtke, of Harshaw; his siblings, Michael Radtke, of Dubuque, Iowa, Bernadette Radtke, Judith Radtke, Joseph (Shannon) Radtke, Terence (Kimberly) Radtke, Kyle (Amber) Radtke, Francis (Jessica) Radtke, all of Tomahawk, and Shawn (Kristie) Radtke, of Harshaw. He is further survived by Aunt Nancy and Uncle Bob Nitke, of Harshaw, and many additional aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Joanne; his brother, Mark; his infant sister, Barbara; and his sister-in-law, Shirley “Chuck” Radtke.

Private memorial services for Edward Radtke will be held. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory, Tomahawk, is assisting the family. View Ed’s obituary and leave online condolences at www.generationsfuneral.com.
