Dr. Erich G. Neumeyer, age 75, of Tomahawk, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Friendly Village Nursing & Rehabilitation in Rhinelander, Wis. Erich was born in Chicago, Ill., to the late Ernst and Margarete (Rau) Neumeyer on Aug. 21, 1945.
Erich was a graduate of Wausau High School. After high school, he attended the University of Wisconsin – Marathon County and later earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Ill. Erich was the owner of the Neumeyer Chiropractic Clinic in Wausau, Wis., where he modeled the values of hard work and responsibility. In his spare time, he enjoyed drag racing, boating, snowmobiling, and the beauty of the Northwoods.
Survivors include his son, Dr. Daniel (Bethany) Neumeyer, of Holland, Ohio; his daughters, Jackie Lynch, of Roxboro, N.C., and Ann Neumeyer, of Tomahawk; his sisters, Elisabeth “Trudy” (Luc) Favarger, of Gatineau, Quebec, and Charlotte (Dr. Samir) Abadeer, of Wausau.
Erich is further survived by his grandchildren, Noah Lynch, and Lucas and Calista Neumeyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernst and Margarete; and his brother, John.
Private funeral services for Dr. Erich Neumeyer will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021, at Generations Funeral Home, Tomahawk. Pastor Alex Lindsay will officiate.
