Roland L. Copiskey

Roland L. Copiskey, age 90 of Tomahawk, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021 at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Rollie was born on July 9, 1930 in Tomahawk to Louis and Pauline (Schgdloski) Copiskey. He was married to Irene Reich on Jan. 13, 1954 in Tomahawk. Irene passed away in 2005. Rollie was a veteran of the US Navy and served in Korea. He was employed for over 30 years at the Tomahawk Paper Mill. He retired in 1992. He was an avid Brewer, Packer, and Badger fan. He enjoyed following his children and grandchildren at all of their events. Rollie also enjoyed hunting, fishing, fast pitch softball, and playing pool.

Surviving Rollie Copiskey are his children, Michele (Jim) Paulsen, Larry (Lois) Copiskey, Alan Copiskey, Brian Copiskey all of Tomahawk, and Joe (Lisa) Copiskey of Montana. He is further survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Rollie was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Irene, and siblings, Lyle and Obo Copiskey, Violet Butler, Ceil Neuman, Clara Willett, and Joyce Rosiak, and a granddaughter, Lee.

A Funeral Service for Rollie Copiskey will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 11:00 a.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home, Tomahawk. Pat Pintens will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in the spring. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11. Face masks and social distancing will be required.
