Tomahawk cross country team holds virtual awards night

TOMAHAWK – The Tomahawk Hatchet cross country team hosted a virtual awards night on Thursday, Nov. 12. Team award winners and multiple letterwinners were honored in the ceremony, as well as those named to the GNC All-Conference team.

Rookies of the Year: Owen Dickrell, boys; Rachael Reilly, girls.

Most Improved: Ethan Liebnitz, varsity boys; Jacob Towle, JV boys; Greta Tjugum, varsity girls; Tiana Gerstenberger, JV girls.

Coaches Awards: Drew Bolder and Arden Ziert, boys; Kate Reilly, girls.

Scholar Athletes: Alex Norman and Hunter VanRyen, boys (all 4.0’s, first quarter); Tiana Gerstenberger, girls.

Captains Awards: Alex Norman, boys; Kate Reilly, girls.

Punchy Reich Memorial: Drew Bolder (as picked by his teammates).

GNC All-Conference: Noah Buckwalter, Drew Bolder, Alex Norman, Arden Ziert, Owen Dickrell, Hunter Borchardt, Ethan Liebnitz (HM), boys; Rachael Reilly, Kate Reilly, Macey Mann, Morgan Hansmann, Greta Tjugum (HM), girls.

Most Valuable: Noah Buckwalter, boys; Rachael Reilly, girls.

State Qualifier Awards: Noah Buckwalter, boys; Rachael Reilly, Greta Tjugum, Kate Reilly, Emily Lacina, Morgan Hansmann, Macey Mann, Ava Dragosh, girls.

Service Award: Pam Buckwalter, Paula Norman, Tier 1 Sports.

JV Awards: John Mark Hawley, Jacob Towle, Taje Casey, Garron Albrent, boys; Marie Gorell, Robin Schmidt, girls.
