Steven M. Bogie

Steven M. Bogie, of Victorville, Calif., passed away on Sept. 9, 2020 at The University of Colorado Hospital, Aurora, at the age of 66. Steve fought a courageous 10-year battle with leukemia, and succumbed to double pneumonia and congestive heart failure. Steve was born in Tomahawk on Aug. 16, 1954 to P.J. and Mary (Heuser) Bogie, and graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1973, where he played several sports.

He is survived by Darna Gongora-Bogie, three daughters, Danielle, Deanna, Michelle, step children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, siblings Pat(Sue)Bogie, Gurnee, Ill., Cindi Rogers, Wausau, Wis., Candy (Dan) Kaluzny, San Antonio, Tex., Jim Bogie, Wausau.

He is preceded in death by his parents, P.J. and Mary (Heuser) Bogie, sisters, toddler Nancy and infant MaryBeth, infant daughter Desiree, and grandson Brant.

Steve was an avid outdoorsman enjoying camping, boating, hunting and fishing but especially loved to ride his full dressed Harley, making several trips to Sturgis. He belonged to a Harley motorcycle club that raised money for veterans and cancer patients.

Steve was a long haul trucker the past 35 years, traveling coast to coast and border to border, remarking about the different landscapes in this beautiful country, and helping many stranded motorists along the way.
