Hatchet volleyball falls to Mosinee, Lakeland

MOSINEE – The Tomahawk High School volleyball team traveled to Mosinee on Tuesday, Sept. 15 and fell 0-3, by scores of 18-25, 20-25, and 18-25.

“Meghan Scholz led the team with seven kills, Lexy Millard led the team in digs with nine, Kaite Pierce and Meghan Scholz each had one block, Kallie Massa led the team in aces with three, and Mackenzie Scholz finished the match with 12 assists,” said head coach Lauren Pfeifer.

The Hatchet spikers hosted Lakeland at the Hatchet Field House on Thursday, Sept. 17, and were defeated 2-3 by scores of 18-25, 26-28, 25-20, 26-24 and 8-15.

“Meghan Scholz led the team with 12 kills, Katie pierce followed with 10,” Pfeifer stated. “Kallie Massa led the team with four aces, Mackenzie Scholz and Alyssa Zehner both had seven digs, and Katie Pierce led the team with four blocks. Mackenzie Scholz finished the game with 35 assists.”

The Hatchet volleyball team hosted Northland Pines yesterday (Tuesday, Sept. 22) and will travel to Antigo to take on the Red Robins tomorrow (Thursday, Sept. 24).
