Happy Kids Backpack Program receives donations

The Happy Kids Backpack Program received $400 in donations last week. The Tomahawk Farm and Flea market contributed $100, and Laura Haring, Market President, donated $300. “I bake the first Saturday of the month, with 100% of the proceeds going to the charity of the month,” Haring said. “The Tomahawk Farm and Flea Market collects money for the month in the Community Caring Jar and matches it up to $100.” The Happy Kids Backpack program, sponsored by the Salvation Army of Tomahawk and supported by donations, fills backpacks with food each week and gives them to local children in need.
