Michael P. Swan, age 56, of Tomahawk, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2020 at Marshfield Medical Center.
Mike was born on April 8, 1964 in Tomahawk to Joseph and Loretta (VanHarpen) Swan. He was married to Nancy VanStrydonk on Sept. 10, 1988 in Harrison. Mike worked for Schoone Construction for a short time, and later with VanStrydonk Construction. For the past 17 years, Mike worked at Erv’s Sales & Service. Mike loved to be outdoors, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and farming. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family and his dog, Josie.
Mike is survived by his wife – Nancy Swan; children – Sarah (Lucan) Taves and Craig (Becky) Swan; and parents – Joe and Loretta Swan; all of Tomahawk. He is further survived by two grandchildren – Aubree and Carson Taves; siblings – Gary (Carol) Swan, Jim (Terry Higgins) Swan, Jean (Jim Wurster) Keip, Rob (Lisa) Swan and Stacie (Steve) Cotey; mother-in-law – Jean VanStrydonk; brothers and sisters-in-law – Mary (Bob) Smith, Jo (Larry) Lemmens, Kathy (Mark) Voermans, Jim (Carol) VanStrydonk, Mark (Denise) VanStrydonk, Larry (Linda) VanStrydonk and Alan (Stephanie) VanStrydonk.
The Funeral Service for Mike Swan was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, 2020 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Visitation took place on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020 at St. Augustine from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Visitation continued on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
