TOMAHAWK – Although schools will remain closed for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year and plans for graduation ceremonies are up in the air, a local photographer is offering a way to show support for seniors and other students whose lives have been upended by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stacie Petta, owner of Stacie Petta Photography in Tomahawk, said even though her small business was one of many in the area affected by the pandemic, she still wanted to find a way to share her love of photography and design with the community.

Petta designed yard signs “to give a shout out to seniors” who are “missing out on so many ‘last’ memories during their last few months in high school.” She also created “Happy Birthday” yard signs for those that are celebrating a birthday during the Safer at Home order.

The signs are 24 inches by 18 inches, double-sided, and come with a stake. Professional pictures printed on the signs must be taken by Stacie Petta Photography, or a non-professional image can be submitted, Petta explained.

“These yard signs can also be customized for any grade level, including 5th graders who are leaving elementary, 8th graders who are leaving middle school, or graduating seniors,” she said.

Petta stated she “wants to fill our town” with signs to “put a smile on the seniors’ faces.”

“If you don’t have a senior in your house, you can also order the ‘We Support You’ yard sign and put it up at your business or home,” she said.

Signs with a name or “We Support You” are $25, and signs with a picture are $30.

To order a sign, call Petta at 715-453-3971 or email her at [email protected]. Payments can be mailed to N9485 County Road H, Tomahawk, where signs can be picked up with contactless pickup at her home studio front porch. Signs can also be delivered directly to yards in Tomahawk for a small fee, Petta said.
