Kathryn B. Pickard, age 83, of Merrill, died Wednesday, April 15,2020 at Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice House in Wausau.
Kathryn was born July 2, 1936 in Ladysmith, Wis., to Joseph and Mary (Mulry) Stushek. She married Edgar L. Pickard on Oct. 9, 1954 in Ladysmith. He preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 1999. Kathryn worked at Hahn’s Fine Food, Harley Davidson and Quality Foods IGA.
Kathryn enjoyed trout fishing, country music, the occasional gambling and bird watching. She will be forever remembered for her venison chili, those crazy rituals while cheering on her Packers and her great stories while growing up with her siblings Alice, Barbara, William, Robert and Joe. She always loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Kathryn is survived by sons Michael Pickard of Merrill, Matthew Pickard (Constance) of Stevens Point, Joseph Pickard (Janel) of Merrill; daughters Deborah Kohout (Kevin) of Tomahawk and Brenda Sroka of Red Granite, Wis.; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband Edgar Pickard; sons Mark Pickard and David Pickard; daughter JoAnn Pickard; grandchildren Ashleigh Pickard, Cole Pickard and Hunter Pickard; son-in-law Mike Sroka and daughter-in-law Suzann Pickard.
