City of Tomahawk moves SARA Park polling location to City Hall for April 7 election

FOR THE TOMAHAWK LEADER

TOMAHAWK – The City of Tomahawk’s polling location at SARA Park, located at 900 W. Somo Ave., has been moved to City Hall, located at 23 N. 2nd St., for the April 7 spring primary election.

Clerk-Treasurer Amanda Bartz stated the location change is due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We apologize for the late change, but we are taking steps to notify everyone through the use of local news media of the new locations,” Bartz said.

Even though polling places will be open on Election Day, Bartz urged voters in Tomahawk to avoid polling places and vote absentee by mail instead, if possible.

“We want everyone who is eligible and who wants to vote to be able to do so safely,” Bartz said. “Absentee voting will greatly reduce crowds at polling places on Election Day, which will make social distancing much easier.”

Voters can also drop off absentee ballots at polling places.

Voters can find their polling place online at www.myvote.wi.gov/en-us/FindMyPollingPlace.
