Robert L. Winterfeldt

Robert L. Winterfeldt, age 86, of Tomahawk, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at Riverview Health Services under the care of Ministry Hospice. Bob was born Sept. 1, 1933, in Appleton, Wis., to the late Irving and LaVern (Last) Winterfeldt. He met his high school sweetheart, Carol Fuerst, at Appleton High School in 1949 and married her on Valentine’s Day in 1953 at St. Matthew’s Church in Appleton; she survives.

Bob worked as a union sheet metal worker for 43 years in the Appleton, Neenah, and Green Bay areas. He was in Union Local 18 for 66 years until his passing. Bob helped build his retirement dream home on Lake Nokomis, where he enjoyed most of his retirement years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. If he wasn’t casting off the dock, you could find him building or fixing something. Bob’s passion was welding.

Survivors include his Wife, Carol Winterfeldt, of Tomahawk; one Son, Jeff (Kim) Winterfeldt, of Appleton; one Daughter, Pam (Chris) Reitzner, of Appleton; one Brother, Jim (Marg) Winterfeldt, of Bloomington, Ind.; and one Sister, Betty Waskow, of San Antonio, Tex. He is further survived by four Grandchildren, Ryan Reitzner, Chelsea (Bill) Majinski, Emily (Kevan) Lubinski, and Sam Winterfeldt; and three Great-Grandchildren, with an additional one on the way, Chase Majinski, Teagan Majinski, and Lyle Lubinski.

Bob was preceded in death by his Parents, Irving and LaVern; his Son, Robin Winterfeldt; and his Great-Granddaughter, McKenna Majinski.

Bob was at Riverview Health Services for the past two and a half years. His family would like to thank the entire staff for their wonderful care, food, and entertainment provided over the years. A special thank you to his favorites who put up with his antics (you know who you are). Also, thank you to Ministry Hospice for their compassionate care over the past year.

A private Celebration of Life for Bob Winterfeldt will be held by his family at a later date. Family and friends are encouraged to view his obituary and leave online condolences at generationsfuneral.com. Generations Funeral Home and Crematory, Tomahawk, is assisting the family.
