Martha Eron Scholz, age 38, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Denver, Colo., on March 10, 2020.
Martha was born on Sept. 1, 1981 in Tomahawk. She was a graduate of Tomahawk High School in 2000. Martha then attended college at Nicolet, UW La-Crosse and Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Montana. She moved to Colorado in 2014.
Martha loved life and embraced it to the fullest. She enjoyed fishing with her dad, ice fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, playing cards and traveling. She visited many of the states during her adventures. Her dream was to travel the world. Her favorite thing though was spending time with friends, family and her dogs, where she shared her contagious laughter and brightened up the room with her beautiful smile.
Martha is survived by her parents – Fred and Peggy Scholz; her sister – Sara (Jody) Walbeck; and her brother – Rick (Amy) Scholz, all of Tomahawk. She is further survived by her nieces – Meghan and Mackenzie Scholz and Exxie Walbeck; her nephews – Michael and Mathew Walbeck; and numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Martha is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents – Albert and Loretta Marschke; paternal grandparents – Joseph and Anna Scholz; aunts and uncles – William and Bernadette Marschke, John Tucker, Arthur Scholz, Darlene Jaeger, Bertha Scholz, LeRoy and JoAnn Fehrman and Daletta Grimm; and cousins – Mathew Kahle and Jeff Scholz.
Due to the Corona Virus outbreak, the CDC is limiting the size of gatherings, including funerals. Martha’s family will be having a memorial service at a later date, when the gathering size mandate has lifted.
