Thomas ‘Shag’ Timm

Thomas “Shag” Timm, age 68, of Tomahawk, passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2020.

Shag was born on April 24, 1951 in Tomahawk to Rodney and Frances (Klade) Timm. He was a 1969 graduate of Tomahawk High School and was a four-sport letter winner. He was named All-Conference in both football and basketball. Shag loved being outdoors – gardening and fishing. He hunted for over 50 years with the Hawker’s Hero’s Hunting Shack. Shag was a machine tender at the Tomahawk Mill for over 37 years. He was formerly married to Kari Oelhafen. Shag enjoyed following his daughters throughout their high school sport careers. He also liked telling the referees how to referee the game, a trait that was passed down from his father. Later in life, Shag played softball for Pikes and Fletches Tap.

Shag is survived by his daughters – Ashley (Trevor Myers) Timm of Tomahawk, Lacey (Luke) Kall of Merrill and Kerby (Nick Nicholson) Timm of Tomahawk; his brothers and sister – Terry “Pike” (Nancy) Timm, Larry Timm and Pam Timm all of Tomahawk; and half-brother – Matt (Brianne) Theiler of Tomahawk. He is further survived by his grandson – Reid.

Shag is preceded in death by his parents, step mom – MaryAnn and half-sister – Amy Smith.

The Funeral Service for Tom “Shag” Timm took place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home, Tomahawk. Visitation took place on Monday, March 16, 2020 at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Visitation continude on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Memorials made in memory of Shag will be donated to support Tomahawk Athletics.
