STATE CHAMPIONS

The Tomahawk Hatchets Squirt A hockey team was crowned WAHA 10U/4A State Champs after finishing undefeated in Manitowoc. Tomahawk topped Burnett 8-0 to advance to take down Marinette 7-2 before winning the title beating Manitowoc 4-1 in the Championship Game. BANTAMS TAKE 3RD AT STATE: Members of Tomahawk Youth Hockey joined the Rhinelander Bantam team and competed in the WAHA 14U/3A State Tourney held in Rhinelander this past weekend where they finished in 3rd place. The Bantams opened with a 10-2 win over Sauk Prairie before falling to the eventual State Champions from Amery and then coming back to top Lakeland 4-3 in a thrilling overtime victory to get the 3rd place title. Members of the Tomahawk Hatchets who played on the Rhinelander Bantams included goalie Andrew Samuelson, Patrick Samuelson, Caleb Dickens, Scout Stromberg and Brayden Larson.
HATCHET SQUIRT B FINISHES 3RD AT STATE: Tomahawk Squirt B played in the WAHA 3B/10U State Tourney held in Marshfield and finished up a fantastic season finishing in 3rd place. Tomahawk opened with a 7-0 shutout win over Oshkosh before falling to Manitowoc and coming back to route Marshfield 9-1 to secure the 3rd place finish.
