TOMAHAWK – Lincoln County Supervisor Calvin Callahan (R-Tomahawk) launched his candidacy for State Assembly Tuesday, March 3, with a series of announcements held at the Wilson Town Hall on County Road CC in Tomahawk, the Lincoln County Service Center in Merrill, and Game On in Antigo.

Callahan, a lifelong Lincoln County resident, seeks to represent Assembly District 35, encompassing all of Lincoln County, as well as parts of Langlade, Oneida, Marathon and Shawano counties. Rep. Mary Felzkowski (R-Irma) currently holds the District 35 seat. She announced her candidacy for the State Senate’s 12th District on Monday, March 2.

Callahan was elected to the Lincoln County Board in 2018 and represents District 13, which is comprised of Ward 4 in the Town of Bradley, the Town of Somo, and the Town of Wilson. He is also a board member in the Town of Wilson.

“I don’t plan to go to Madison looking for a fight, but I can guarantee I will never back down from one,” states Callahan on his campaign website, www.friendsofcalvincallahan.com. “Now more than ever, we need to stand up to preserve our freedoms and our bedrock conservative values. We need someone who won’t waver when it comes to doing what is right for Wisconsin.”
