Stevens Point man arrested in connection to 2019 death of Rhinelander woman

RHINELANDER – A Stevens Point man is in custody in Oneida County after being arrested in connection to the 2019 death of a Rhinelander woman.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, Dalton U. Kampf, 23, was arrested in Stevens Point at about 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, as a result of an ongoing investigation of the death Shauna M. Sarkauskas, 25, who died on Aug. 27, 2019.

Kampf was booked into the Oneida County jail for first degree reckless homicide by manufacture/distribution/delivery of a controlled substance and a probation hold, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Stevens Point Police Department and the Portage County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office in the arrest.

The investigation is ongoing, the Sheriff’s Office stated.
