Marjorie A. Wanta, age 83, of Tomahawk, passed away peacefully on Dec. 28, 2019 surrounded by her family at her home.
Marge was born on July 13, 1936 in Tomahawk to Chester & Lillian (Mitchell) Jaecks Sr. She was married to Richard D. Wanta on Aug. 6, 1955 in Wausau. Marge stayed at home while her five children were growing. Later in life, when Marge worked outside of the home, she was a CNA at the Wausau Hospital and Golden Age Nursing Home. She also worked at Harley-Davidson for a short time. Marge loved being outside – especially flower gardening and fishing. She was an excellent interior decorator, loved playing Yahtzee and enjoyed going to the casino. Marge loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marge is survived by her children – Dale (Loretta) Wanta, Julie (Darold) Hess, Debbie (Lonnie) Dahl, Tim (Penny) Wanta and Sherri (Ken) Johnson, all of Tomahawk; 12 grandchildren & 23 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings – Sonny (Mert) Jaecks, Lillian (Ross) Dornbrach and Gary (Sheila) Jaecks. Marge is preceded in death by her husband – Rich, Grandson – Michael, sister – Janet and two brothers – Duane & Eddie.
The Funeral Service for Marge Wanta took place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, 2020 at Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Visitation took place from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Burial will take place in the springtime.
