The Hometown Christmas Committee has been as busy as Santa’s elves planning to help boost the holiday spriit in Tomahawk leading up to Christmas 2019. Along with lighting up the community during the holiday season, the committee has a number of events planned for the downtown being held Friday, Dec. 13 from 4-6 p.m. Some of those plans include bringing back the original Tomahawk Christmas Tree in the downtown, placing live mannequins in downtown business windows, strolling carolers who will perform throughout the evening, a marsh mellow pit that will be open to the public in a business, a Secret Santa will be roaming the street giving away deals and every downtown business window will have a Christmas tree on display. The Christmas Fairies, pictured, left to right, Roxanne Consolver, Mary Smith and Delpha Halverson, are looking for volunteers to help spread the Christmas cheer by serving as mannequins or signing as carolers. For more information, contact Consolver at 715-612-9743, Smith at 715-453-5187 or Halverson at 715-564-3370.
