LIFE SAVING RESCUE

The Tomahawk Fire Department was called to the intersection of Bearskin/Hiawatha Trail and West Leather Avenue Thursday afternoon for an elderly woman who had fallen and was found in the brush by a passerby out for a daily walk. Fire Chief Beetle Nyberg told the off-duty officer who found the woman he probably saved a life, as the woman was discovered just hours before the sunset. A dog found at the scene was taken to the vet office and the woman was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
