FOR THE TOMAHAWK LEADER

NORTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN – Trig’s Pharmacies have plenty of high dose flu shots available for those 65 and older who may need the extra boost.

The vaccine is available at all Trig’s locations with pharmacies, including Tomahawk, Rhinelander, Minocqua, Eagle River, Wausau, and Stevens Point. Appointments are not needed; guests can visit the pharmacy anytime during operating hours and request the shot. Trig’s Pharmacies operate Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the high-dose flu shot contains four times the antigen of standard-dose flu vaccines.

Trig’s currently operates six pharmacies and is known for its quick, professional service, with an average wait time of under 15 minutes. Guests can look forward to a wide menu of services from Trig’s Pharmacies, like affordable flu shots and vaccinations, Med Sync, prescription delivery, a Gold Club Loyalty program, Gold Club Maintenance 90 program, medication therapy management, blister packing services for assisted living facilities, diabetes testing, an online prescription refill service, texting alerts, and more. Trig’s Pharmacies accept most major insurance plans and is a preferred provider for many Part D drug plans.
