Irene F. Uttech, 98, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019 at Country Terrace Assisted Living in Tomahawk.
Irene was born June 13, 1921 in Merrill to Hubert and Flora (Fuss) Natzke. She was united in marriage to Martin C. Uttech on Jan. 18, 1942, also in Merrill. He passed away in 2010. Irene had been employed at Sears in Wausau and had been a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Wausau. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter. She enjoyed making a quilt for each and every grandchild and great-grandchild. Irene had been a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tomahawk.
Survivors include four children; Tom (Mary) Uttech of Saukville, WI; Gary (Judy) Uttech of Tomahawk; Nancy Wermes of Phoenix, Arizona, and Jennifer (Jerry) Van Raden of Forreston, Illinois. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service for Irene Uttech will take place at 11: a.m. on November 4, from Redeemer Lutheran Church. Pastor Mark Gass will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The Uttech family will receive friends at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 4. Krueger Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Tomahawk, is assisting the family.
