In a thrilling Great Northern Conference tilt that went down to the final set, the Tomahawk spikers were able to hang on to get the 3-2 win over Antigo at Hatchet Field Tuesday.

Tomahawk jumped out to get the first set win by a score 25-21 before Antigo took the second game 25-21 to tie the game at 1-1.

The Hatchets would answer in a big way in set three as they easily scored the 25-9 win to go back up by one. Set four would prove to be epic, as the Hatchets and red birds battled back and forth before Antigo was able to pull out the 30-28 win to force the fifth and final set.

While the Robins managed to hang around and make things interesting at the end, the Lady Hatchets weren’t about to let them sneak out of Hatchet Fieldhouse with the win, as Tomahawk dropped the hatchet in the final set by a score 15-4 to get the big GNC win.

Natalie Zastrow had another big night at the serve line scoring 4 aces. Mady Hanse scored 23 kills and Richelle Swan led the team in assists with 43 in the win against Antigo. Morgan Ernst and Swan led the team in digs with 16 apiece.
