Free flu shots are being offered for those who qualify. St. Vincent de Paul Free Clinic in Merrill has partnered with Americares and Walgreens to present the Americares Walgreens Fall 2019 Flu Vaccination Program. Those who receive the vaccines must fit Americares’ general eligibility criteria, which are either uninsured or underinsured and fall at or below 300% of the federal poverty level. Flu injections will be done at St. Vincent de Paul Free Clinic, 1004 E. Tomahawk Public Library’s “Play and Learn” program is now called “Library Time.” Library Time is an opportunity for children to develop friendships and early literacy skills through talking, singing, reading, writing and playing. This play based program is for young children and those who take care of them. Library Time will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. every Thursday from September through May.
