Lincoln County Sheriff’s Report: April 22, 2024

As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, April 22:

On 04/16/2024 deputies were dispatched to the area of STH 17 and CTH D in the Township of Harrison for a motor vehicle crash with injuries. The R/P indicated that the driver of the vehicle, a Gleason woman, 49, appeared to be intoxicated. It was also reported that she had shallow breathing and a weak pulse. Investigation revealed that the subject was operating on STH 17 when, for unknown reasons, she crossed the center line and entered the ditch on the west side of the highway. Once in the ditch, she struck a group of trees before hitting a pole. The woman was transported to Aspirus Rhinelander hospital by ambulance. Charges of OWI 1st offense and bail jumping will be submitted to the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office. The extent of her injuries is unknown.

On 04/17/2024 deputies were dispatched to an address on Doering Rd. in the Town of Merrill for a domestic dispute. It was reported that a Merrill man, 23, got into a heated argument with his sister, 18, and his mother, 54. According to officers, the dispute did involve some pushing and shoving, as well as the 23-year-old man punching a hole in his bedroom door. The suspect was arrested for two counts of domestic disorderly conduct. He was then transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where he was turned over to corrections staff. No injuries were reported.

Deputies conducted 33 traffic stops and 38 security checks.

Deputies responded to one domestic and three car vs. deer crashes.

The 911 Center took four hang-up calls and 11 nuisance calls.
